If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like for someone who’s blind or visually impaired here is an opportunity to find out. “Lunch in the Dark” is a disability simulation being hosted by NYS School for the Blind and Independent Living. This is the chance to learn first-hand about some of the challenges people face.
The buffet lunch will take place in the school gym, and sighted guides will offer assistance. We will share information that will help break down barriers for employing people with visual impairments. There will also be techniques you can use to make your organization’s dining events more accessible.
