Parent Network is pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for parents and family members to be part of the 6th annual class of the Parent Leadership Program which will take place in 2 locations this year – Buffalo and Wellsville. This is a free program!
This is a special opportunity for parents and family members of children and youth with disabilities to prepare for leadership roles in advocating for their own child and others in school and the community.
In depth information will be provided about
- special education
- graduation requirements
- preparing for life in the real world after high school
- conflict resolution
- ways to advocate effectively
As part of the program, you can choose from other additional topics that will be most meaningful to you.
- learning disabilities
- what to do about challenging behavior
- autism
- making sense of the common core
- much more
The last day of the series takes place at the beautiful Beaver Hollow Conference Center giving the class the opportunity to learn about themselves and others while connecting with and supporting each other.
